View from my window in Okinawa, Japan. So.. clearly, I have not done a good job of updating this in a long time. A lot has happened since I last posted and I probably cant do a good job of bringing anyone who reads this up to speed, so I will just apologize and move on. As of this week, I only have a month and a half left of being in Japan and this has increasingly become the topic of my dreams (pseudo nightmares). Please don't misunderstand, I will be happy to see my friends and family when I get home, but to be honest, my personal life has gone to shit while I was gone. No more boyfriend, don't even KNOW whats going on with that, haven't talked to most of my friends since I got here, upheavals in my family, and the idea of being put back into my ho hum life, killing myself for two years in my master's program, and just continuing on without dreams or adventures, EGH. I am also moving to a new city where it looks like I might not have any friends, Oh yeah, and my computer has about 8 viruses, probably including the one that I hacked up on it because Ive been sick all week. I really need to see my best friend, Scott. Excuse the metaphor, but that kid is my lighthouse.
Anyways, onto pictures of my trip to Okinawa.
The view of Mount Fuji from the airplane.
Tunnel leading out of the Underground Naval Base.
Missing pieces of history at the Naval Base

Another friend somewhere in between.
The impossible task of getting back home.
Thats an abbreviated version of Okinawa. I need to go study for my midterms and stop purseforating over how much coming home is going to suck. Ill try to be better about updating this in the last weeks of my trip, but if not, wish me luck for the rest of my time in Japan.
