weekend going ons.

I am lucky enough this weekend to have seen my best girl from Japan and keep her here for a night. We all went out (Kirsten, Alyssa, Emilie) for game 6 of the ALCS. Good fun. I get Alyssa back again on Wednesday and then again next Sunday. Needless to say, i am very very happy. Also the Red Sox just won the ALCS and we are going to the world series! And i finished my paper and its actually pretty good! things are going well, you know.

it would have been easier to be a breast cancer specialist.

Embattled Calif. Dentist Says Breast Rubs Necessary
Monday, October 15, 2007

WOODLAND, Calif. — A dentist accused of fondling the breasts of 27 female patients is trying to keep his dental license by arguing that chest massages are an appropriate procedure in certain cases. Mark Anderson's lawyer says dental journals discuss the need to massage the pectoral muscles to treat a common jaw problem.

Police say Anderson said during recorded phone calls that he routinely massaged patients' chests to treat temporo-mandibular joint disorder, or TMJ, which causes neck and head pain.

Attorney Robert Zaro told administrative law judge Jonathan Lew at a hearing Thursday that he should let Anderson keep his dental license while disciplinary appeals proceed. Anderson would be supervised by two assistants and would no longer do the chest rubs, Zaro said.

Zaro said Anderson, 48, of Woodland, needs to keep seeing patients so he can feed his seven children and pay for his defense.

The judge made no immediate decision.

Lew suspended Anderson's dental license last month. He was charged with two misdemeanor counts of battery and sexual battery. Yolo County prosecutors are investigating complaints from more than two dozen women who say they also were groped in the examining chair in the last five years.

Deputy Attorney General Jeffrey Phillips gave Lew three new complaints, including one from a 31-year-old woman who said Anderson fondled her at least six times over two years.

She took to wearing tight shirts with high necklines, "and Anderson would still get in under her shirt and bra," according to a police report.

"French police have made five arrests over an attack on a painting by Claude Monet in Paris, France's AFP news agency says, quoting judicial sources. A gang of intruders broke into Paris' Musee D'Orsay overnight on Sunday and punched a hole in the Impressionist painting Le Pont d'Argenteuil. " -BBC news website

my personal moon.

its finally raining in Boston, but it was very needed. The weekend hasnt been a total bust. Actually i had a pretty good weekend thanks to my friends. Also, my cousin Mike is back from italy and surprised me by bringing my other cousin Scott over (whom i havent seen in a year and a half) and taking me out to dinner at an indian restaurant downtown. Scott is here on business this week so I get to see them both again on wednesday for sushi.

Ive been reading about this "my personal moon" idea from some russian designers (just google it) and i want one. It seems like a lonely concept but then again, boston is a lonely place. The rain with the view out my window completes it. regardless, having more contact with my friends and fam, and other small pleasures (namely, little boy sport jerseys at urban renewal) remind me things arent terrible.

ps dreams ive had lately
1. failing clinical psyc (-)
2. the tee pee village (+)
